Tropical cyclone development is not anticipated across the eastern Pacific or the Atlantic Basin on Monday. In the Atlantic Basin, a tropical wave of low pressure will continue to move west northwestward across the western Caribbean Sea. This system will have a low, 10% chance to develop into a tropical cyclone, but is expected to bring heavy rain and thunderstorms to Belize, Guatemala and the Yucatan Peninsula. Cancun can expect thunderstorms throughout the day with a high of 84(F)/ 28(C). Meanwhile, monsoonal moisture will initiate widespread rain and thunderstorms across western, central and southern Mexico. The northeastern corner of the country will stay mostly clear of wet weather. Mexico City will experience afternoon and evening thunderstorms with a high of 74(F)/ 23(C).
