Tropical cyclone development is not anticipated across the Atlantic Basin or the eastern Pacific on Thursday. In the eastern Pacific, an area of low pressure will be located approximately 300 nautical miles south of Acapulco, Mexico. This system will have a low, 10% chance to develop into tropical cyclone as it drifts west northwestward. Just to the east, a trough of low pressure will move eastward across northern Mexico. This system will initiate rain and thunderstorms across northwest Mexico. Scattered showers will also be possible across central and southern Mexico. Mexico City can expect thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and evening with a high of 75(F)/ 23(C), while Cancun will be sunny with a high of 88(F)/ 31(C). Meanwhile, an easterly wave of low pressure will usher rain and thunderstorms across the Greater Antilles and much of Central America.
