A trough of low pressure will linger over southern Mexico on Sunday. Stray showers and thunderstorms will pop up across southeastern Mexico, while high pressure will keep the remainder of the country clear of wet weather. Mexico City will be sunny with a high of 80(F)/ 26(C), while Cancun will also be sunny with a high of 85(F)/ 29(C). An easterly wave of low pressure will continue to usher showers and thunderstorms across Central America. The heaviest rain is forecast to move across Panama and Costa Rica, while disorganized thunderstorms will be possible over Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. Across the Caribbean, similar conditions can be expected over Jamaica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
