Tropical cyclone development is not anticipated across the Atlantic Basin on Friday, while the tropics will remain active over the eastern Pacific. Tropical Storm Norbert is expected to strengthen as it drifts north northwestward over the eastern Pacific. Norbert is forecast to be upgraded to a category 2 hurricane, with wind speeds ranging between 96 to 110 mph (83 to 95 knots). This system will be located approximately 250 nautical miles west of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, bringing high seas and heavy rain to Baja California. Meanwhile, monsoonal moisture will continue to initiate widespread showers and thunderstorms across Mexico, while the Yucatan Peninsula will stay mostly clear of precipitation. Mexico City will experience intermittent thunderstorms with a high of 73(F)/ 22(C). Acapulco will have a slight chance of evening thunderstorms with a high of 88(F)/ 31(C).
