Weather Underground Forecast for Friday, April 18, 2014
A strong low pressure system will shift eastward across the Gulf of Mexico on Friday. A line of showers and thunderstorms will trail this system and sweep across eastern Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula. Mexico City can expect afternoon and evening thunderstorms with a high of 77(F)/ 25(C), while Cancun will have a slight chance of thunderstorms with a high of 85(F)/ 29(C). This system will also usher stormy weather across several Central American countries, including Guatemala, Belize and Honduras. Across the Caribbean, similar conditions can be expected across Cuba and The Bahamas. Meanwhile, an easterly wave of low pressure will bring wet weather to the British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
