Just an everyday fella in Laurium, Michigan observing the weather.

Looks like we are going to get our first big snow of the 2013/2014 winter tonight. There is a lake effect snow advisory for our area tonight through tomorrow.
In anticipation of this, we made our trip to the grocery store yesterday really count. :) We stocked up on lots of staple foods and are ready to be snowed in.
Thus far, weve had a bit of snow here and there but nothing more than an inch. Last year, they received roughly 320 inches of snow in the Keweenaw Peninsula.
In other news, I finally have my first weathercam up and running. I have submitted it to Weather Underground and hopefully it will be approved and associated with my weather station, KMICALUM5. Until then, you can get a peak of it at my bare-bones weather site. It will be online during daylight hours since there's nothing to see in the dark! At present it points West and shows the sky and the ground.
