**GFS Shows a Stomy MARCH**

By: WeatherBobNut , 5:38 PM GMT on March 04, 2008

Well here we go guys, the GFS is up to its usual cha cha placement of storms. March will be a very stormy month here in the east. The current storm will create everything from an ice storm to flooding issues in Pa, Ny and Nj. The weekend storm looks quite interesting and I do feel that this is the Big Daddy that many of us have been waiting for. The models will waffle around some more and most are in agreement now. There is another big storm for the weekend of the 15th so this will be one active month.

Stormfront, you're 100% correct! LOL!!! I do have people in my church and friends that do ask me what the weather will be....I'm checking radars as i type this on my iphone and i am a weather nut...aka, weatherbobnut....

I do see a LAST CHANCE at a snowstorm by the end of the month but i think with the sun angle right now, it'll be more of a mountain storm and wet valley type storm...It's 60 degrees here right now and i have to admit, it feels great so i am ready for spring but a last chance BIG DADDY will be ok also...go figure.....any weather extreme turns all of us weather geeks on anyway....take care stormfront and i'll be watching for that big daddy along with you and everyone else....ttysoon...raining pretty hard here with the last slug of rain pushing through eastern pa...

Now Bob, I know you better than that! You will be checking the blogs, radars, models, etc., etc. until this upcoming storm has either burried us in a foot of the white stuff or slipped past us to the south. Your WeatherBobNut! A weather nut like the rest of us weather geeks. It doesn't matter if it's winter, spring, summer, or fall. We are always watching and waiting for that unusual and exciting weather event! It's a hobby for us. I'll bet you have friends and family that from time to time ask you what the weather will be because they trust your opinion more than they trust the local weathermen. So with that being said.......COME ON LAST CHANCE "BIG DADDY!"

I dunno... have to spend $1.58 to get one euro today so I guess the euro would be right... Ha!

Trying to bring a smile for all those disappointed by the weak winter weather. Maybe next year will satisfy... and who knows what may be around the corner still this year... :o)

Thanks weatherbobnut and I hope the same for you. Also I wanted to mention that the NAO is going into negative phase for the early next week storm the GFS has on the 18z, but we all know how much can happen in 7 days. I heard the EURO in days 8-10 has the Nor'easter, now it needs to stay on there for the next 8-10 days. I would like a big wind storm, this storm that went to our southeast could have been one memorable storm if it tracked up the East Coast, too bad it has to affect the fish with pressures down to 960mb.

Hi pennseyman, yes, i'm with you, i've completely had it with winter now. It was an overall disapointing winter season for me...used my new snow blower only two times, a broom 5 times and an ice scraper at least 10 times...lol...my flowers are coming up in my front yard, i seen robins last week and geese flying north so i have to say, winter is over...even though the GFS has a snowstorm on it late month, i'm NOT paying attention to that at all, it will be just rain....The mid west is about to get soaked and i see a good soaker here this week as well...I will still check my blogs from time to time, and if i don't write, i just want to say have a super spring and summer season and i'm sure i'll be back next winter looking for the BIG DADDYS, so you take care pennseyman, Blizzard92 and Dean 2007 and Sully....i hope to share weather chat again next season...God Bless,

Yes, Blizzard! I was out with my wife between 5:30pm thru 8:00pm and the temp went from 53 to 31 in a matter of minutes when the squall line rolled through and right before it hit, there was an awsome sunset! The clouds from the storm off the sunlight looked amazing! Then we were at a Wal-Mart when the front hit and shopping carts went smashing into cars all over with debri flying everywhere and people coming out running for cover, it was nuts, thunder, lightning, 40 mph gusts...a crazy storm....Man, if only it set up 100 miles to the east! We would be busy today digging out...A beautiful day here with temps in the upper 20's all day with a stiff wind, but when you get in your car, that strong march sun warms it up nicely...Interesting set-up coming next week, but i have a feeling the next storm will be all rain once again, i'm beginning to want Spring now....and lets hope there's no la nina to deal with next winter....ttysoon. Have a great week everyone!

WOW! What a storm we just had!

Did anyone see the Longer range Models lately??? WOW! There is a series of HUGE storms, a parade of them, it's going to be one wild week after another with these potential monsters, if they're like anything we just had over the past 36 hours, we're in trouble! Not trying to scare anyone, but this set up could become quite dangerous! Lets hope not...

Well, today the models have the weekend storm a Blizzard for Kentucky to Ontario Canada but a rain event switching to snow for much of the east...Now, keep in mind, things can still change. We have at least 5 more model runs to go before the storm reaches the east so there is hope. Plus after this big storm, we're not done just yet, it remains stormy right through the end of the month with another snow chance on March 15-17th time frame as well. So if this storm is a let down, then there's ONE more shot mid month, then after that, i think we're done...

Well guys, tonights NAM shows rain but i'm not letting that get me down. The local mets here as well now say rain changing to a bit of snow. I still say east coast hugger and we get a foot...That's my opinion.

Yes I am very excited for this weekend's storm. I cannot see it running as far inland as the EURO shows because there is an eastcoast trough that should swing the storm up the coast and push it east making it unlikely to go inland.
