I'm a high school student. While I follow all modes of weather, I am most intrigued by severe/tornadic storms.

No watch likely for North Ga. today. However, be prepared for scattered thunderstorms with isolated severe thunderstorms. Heavy rain, damaging winds, and small hail are the primary threats.

Thursday: Partly sunny skies, with isolated thunderstorms north and scattered thunderstorms south and west of Atlanta in the afternoon. Some storms may be severe with heavy rain and gusty winds. Highs 87-91. West winds at 5mph. A 7 on a scale of 1-10 on the Weather Meter.
Thursday Night: Thunderstorms ending by midnight. Mostly cloudy skies, with Lows in the upper 60s. Calm winds.
Friday: Partly sunny, with scattered thunderstorms likely in the afternoon. Some storms may be severe with strong winds, small hail, and heavy rain. Highs in the mid 80s.West winds at 5-10mph. A 7 on a scale of 1-10 on the Weather Meter.
