For the rest of this week, highs in the low to mid 70's with light and variable winds. Tonight, clear with 5-10 mph winds, low in the lower 40's. Current temps in the mid to upper 60's, light and variable winds. Sunshine until Monday when a chance of clouds and rain enters the area. Great weekend weather for a picnic or recreational activities.

Today in Southern Virginia, sunny skies will replace the rain and clouds of last week. The highs will be fair throughout, in the mid 60's. There is a slight chance for showers later in the day and into the evening around 40%. The current temperatures are 58 to 63 degrees F. Roanoke at 60, Danville at 60, Rocky Mount has the lowest current temp at 58.

Rain in Southern VA Moves Out

After immense flooding in southern Virginia and constant flash flood watches and warnings, the skies are clearing out. Crews are out repairing damages today and the majority of roads are reopened to traffic. Flood waters should start receeding today and by tomorrow, rivers and streams should be back in their banks. Remain cautious, turn around, don't drown.
