Perhaps not so much unseasonable as sub-seasonable? Friday morning my coldest temp of this super cold and snowy winter season was -23.1 F. This is in Barton City, MI. I've seen many, many this winter below -10 and many getting close to -20. And when it's windy, it's miserable, even with the sun shining.
I have noticed a good thing though. The forecast highs for over a week now have been beaten anywhere from 5-8 degrees. It may not seem like much but yesterday hit 23.7 here and when it's normally been below 15 degrees day after day, a temp in the 20s feels incredibly warm.
Today the forecast was for 11, based on the weather station in Alpena, MI but here in BC it reached 17.4. It didn't stay there long and though it was sunny again there was a bit of wind. Forecast for tonight is -13. I am hoping it will not go that low but it is a clear night. We will have to wait and see. I am so looking forward to Thursday though, the forecast is 22 F!
