WELCOME old & new WUG-friends
This is our 3rd Jekyll Island WeatherPhoto Meet UP.We started this event to have a chance to meet our WUG friends in person and to share our beautiful coastal Georgia barrier Island with them. Seems like those who come once want to come again and every year we've added more. We hope that you too will decide to join us next year on Presidents Day Weekend.
Some came early and some stayed later but it's been really great to have all these returning photogs here again along with a few newbies.
Here are the WUG-Photographers who attended
Dorothy), Tandy, Gayle, Laura, Cecile, Gary, Kathy, Brenda, Leslie, Durward
And here they are again with their accompanying guests.

The following photos were taken by WUG photographers during our 3 day meetup. Each has their own special visions of our coastal communities. If you click on the thumbnail it will take to you to the larger view of the image and more information about its subject. Also on that page, you can find out about that photographer in his/her profile.
Sponsored by the Jekyll Island Authority, this was the movie we were so excited about and fortunate to see. I had to keep telling myself to breathe because it was truly breath taking for it's images and message.
Members of the Surfrider Foundation-Atlanta Chapter also attended the movie event! This was a great event that delightfully coincided with our annual WunderPhotos® meet-up!! There was standing room only with 800+ attendees viewing this amazing film! I'm so proud of the wonderful support for this amazing film! Thank You to Ben Carswell, Jekyll Island Authority Conservation Director! Jekyll Island hosted this exciting evening in partnership with the EcoFocus Film Festival, Georgia Sea Grant, and the Sapelo Island National Estuarine Research Reserve – Coastal Training Program.
Thank You So Much to the WunderPhotographers who joined us in person and online!! The WunderPhotos® Community is absolutely the BEST, rain or shine, hot or cold!!!! We love weather! It was unusually cold this weekend, but because we were treated to the premier of the Jekyll Island Green Screen movie, Chasing Ice, we were inspired by National Geographic photographer James Balog to not be wimps when our lows were in the 30s instead of our usual night-time lows of only 45-55 degrees!
