Malaga a bit humid today

By: SpanishEye , 12:23 PM GMT on July 23, 2012

Here in Malaga today it's feeling a little humid. We have what is called "levanter" which is an Easterly wind which makes the whole area quite overcast and humid.

In fact, this coast (Costa del Sol) was originally called "Costa del levante" because of how regularly this type of wind hits the coast. The name was changed in the seventies as the local government thought that having Sol in the name would attract more people to the coast.

They were probably right although we still get the levanter winds quite often.
