I live in Wichita Falls TX,its between Oklahoma city and Fort Worth about 20 minutes from the border.Something I've noticed over the years is how storms seem to avoid us.I have watched a solid line of storms come in and separate as they approach us only to reconnect after it passes and not break apart again for miles.I have seen storms heading straight for us then change direction at the last minute. We do still get storms but it is usually only when large ones come through and even then they seem to weaken as they approach and get stronger as they pass it didn't used to be this way i remember as a kid we would get strong storms all the time but the weaker ones would still avoid us. I've heard everything from we are located in a large valley to an old indian curse for being the cause.I was just wondering if anyone might have a better answer to what could be happening.
