Southeast Texas

By: Segno1 , 3:09 PM GMT on January 17, 2014

It's been beautiful in Southeast Texas this week. Outdoor activities in this area will find weekend weather fantastically favorable.

It's a three-day week-end for some workers and some schools. Great day for the parades, the Houston Marathon, and locally, our festival on Monday. This year, the festival will feature dancers and music from the Polynesian Dancers, the Alabama Coushatta, and other performers.

I'm thawing out a brisket to barbecue.

Last evening, I saw a beautiful sunset and an awesome moon rise.

The clouds were a stunning pink and gold against brilliant blue skies.

Last night as the moon was rising over the pines, reflecting against a frame of wispy clouds. The stars were gleaming like gemstones in the sky. What a night it was!!!!
