Davis Rain Collector Heater is installed

By: SaskGrass , 2:57 AM GMT on October 13, 2012

Well it's Oct. 12, 2012. I received the rain collector heater today and took advantage of the warm weather and installed it. I ran the wiring up through the roof to the weather station first. I wanted to get as much done before taking the station offline to minimize down time. As it turned out, I was able to install the heater unit while up on the roof so no down time. I did however add a full millimetre of rain during the process. (I have to figure out how to undo these accidental readings...). Anyway it's all ready to go for the winter now. I should be able to track the amount of precipitation throughout the winter months.
