Okay, I turned 50 this year, I'm a grandfather of two, married with two great kids. I work with heavy mining equipment and enjoy playing with tech.

Recently my station has been reporting odd temperature readings during a heavy rain. I haven't figured out why yet. I've installed new seals in the transmitter and did a complete tear down and clean up of the Davis Vantage Pro 2 but I'm still getting sensor errors when it rains.
I have just purchased a second temperature and humidity station and will trade the components with the main station. Hopefully this will clear the problem.
The intended use for the second temp / humidity station is to monitor values under my home and to automate humidity fans and heat tape when needed. Since it will never see the rain, the current sensors should be just fine there.
