I think ladders were invented by lawyers and skateboards were invented by Orthopedic surgeons.

What a great idea! That is, if I could get her anywhere
near a ladder. She won't even stay in the room when I'm
on a ladder.

Just because I had a small incident with a ladder when
I was cleaning out the roof gutters once in Arkansas.
I didn't fall, the ladder fell however, I was still
holding on to the gutter.
The gutter slowly came loose
from the house and lowered me gently to the ground.
About 30 feet of the gutter on the wide side of the
house. :))

Cost me a pretty penny to have someone put the gutter
back up though. I don't know why she's scared of ladders
now, I didn't get a scratch on me! heh heh heh

Believe it or not, but I did not see this post when I was composing my last one.
Amazing !

If you put SB on your shoulders, you don't have to go to the top step!

Just sayin'..... :' )

There you go.
Brilliant !
Then they can both fall in a tangled heap on the new couch.
Let's hope it's a really strong couch.
Somewhere around 300 lbs. falling 10', at 32'/sec/sec equals certain doom.
Or maybe, he falls, leaving the poor Damsel hanging by her hands from the chandileer.
Or maybe the ladder falls, leaving the Damsel hanging by her hands, with her legs entangled around his neck and shoulders.

One could go on, I suppose…..

Something about it all reminds me of Monty Python.
But it's probably a result of this delightful 15 year old Guyana rum.
And no. It did not come from Snakeymons locker.
Not this one……..

:):))

True that.
Absolutely.

Thanks for the laffs you guys.
Bunch of Hysterical Critters hang out hereabouts for sure.

Recently back from the airport with Lady Potts sister who is visiting with husband for 3 weeks.
She's the one with the dreaded C, but is doing OK.
Escaping from the dreary cold of London town.

Well, I guess a foul mouth parrot with a nasty disposition on rickerdoodles' shoulder can be just as bad as a foul mouth meerkat with a mischievous disposition on shepster's shoulder.

I reckon.
:)))

I hate it when I take Lefty to Publix and he blows in the ears of pretty young ladies as we pass. And then he hops in the cart before they can turn around.

No, I didn't teach him that.

Lefty uses headphones on this one.
Actually, with any Pink.

Interesting lesson in house design in regards to the
lighting fixtures that are installed by electricians
before you buy the house. In the living room which has
about a 20 foot ceiling there hangs a combo fan and
light fixture which has 4 light bulbs. The 4 lights
are about 15 ft above the floor. I have an 8 ft tall
step ladder. I am 6'2" tall. I have 27 in long arms
from the shoulder to the wrist.

If I stand on the last step of the step ladder, yes,
the one thats labeled "DO NOT STAND HERE", I can just
reach the bulb. If they didn't want me to stand on that
step, why did they put a step there in the first place?
They could have just eliminated that step and you
wouldn't be able to step on that step. Of course I
wouldn't be able to change my light bulbs then without
buying a 10 ft step ladder. I'll bet you they put a
warning label on the last step on that ladder too! :))

SugarBear, (The Wimp), had to leave the room when I
replaced the bulb of course. I said "What happens if I
fall"? She said "I will hear it from the bedroom".

Good point I thought.

All is well, I am still in one piece. :))

Besides, I set the ladder up so I could land on the
new couch if I had too. heh heh heh

Poor potts. The boy just can't win for loosing.

Indeed.

Totally uncalled for imho.
He likes to think that I don't know who was on his arm (actually his wrist then his shoulder) too.
T'was a parrot with a particularly nasty attitude and a vocabulary to match. Of course, I wasn't gonna say anything.

The storm broke up quite a bit before it got here and most of what was left of that line passed to the south. Just a bit of needed rain at Ark HQ.

Agree, the forecast lows have been off for the past couple months as they usually are here in the winter. Temps have dropped about 3-4 degrees since sunset. Also, looks like cloud cover in effect and winds have died down significantly.

So...don't think I'll see 49. Wouldn't hurt my feelings though.

Going to be a crazy night around here, was 53 a few
minutes ago, wind is picking up now out of the North,
is supposed to drop 30 degrees overnight to 23. Wind
is supposed to pick up to 20 to 25 mph with gusts up
to 35 mph. Disconnected all three of the outside hoses
and will let the water drip in the sink before going
to bed. The drip hoses in the gardens will just have
to survive on their own. Lowered the patio umbrella
and loosened the handle so it will swing around and
not tip over like it did in that last storm.

Guess we are going to see if that dead tree in the lot
on our south comes down this time on top of the veggie
garden. :)

You wouldn't believe how loud the wind is going thru
the trees outside of where my computer desk is. If that
60 foot tall Sweet Gum goes down at least it will fall
west and not east onto the patio!

Time for dinner, see you whatnots later.

Drizzling for 20 or 30, then it positively dumps for 10 or so. It's also doing some training action plus the occasional lightening shot. Good night to play on the puter. :))

Good afternoon!

Yeah, unfortunately all that moisture that was here but didn't really rain much getting sucked up the east coast to add fuel to the yuck factor.

Been nice and sunny here today. Currently about 80 and quite windy. Might get some weather later from that line that is currently around Swampyville.

OK, Winter is really here this year, 47 degrees right
now headed down to 25 tonight, rain all day, wind
advisory in effect at 5 PM for NW winds up to 35 mph
gusts, with the month long rain we have had, trees
will be falling over around here like bowling pins.

Todays mission, take all the Christmas lights down,
always a sad day when I have to pack up the Christmas
Tree Train. I always let SugarBear run it around a few
times before I pack it away. Grand kids are coming
over tomorrow morning, maybe we'll leave it up for one
more day so they can run the train one last time. :)

Had a similar problem like Goofy did, daughter made a
Honey Ham, Mac and Cheese, Garlic and Cheese Broccoli,
and black eyed peas with bacon, onions, and celery.
Topped it all off with some of the sweetest home made
corn muffins with butter. Went two rounds and gave up
when she brought out the peppermint ice cream.

Came home and took a nap. What time is it? Really?
Gee, its time for bed. :))

That was a really nice day. Looks like you all had a
fun day too.

2300 hours, day one, 2014, hopefully the bozos that
were firing their weapons off last night will be sound
asleep by now. Idiots. :))

Well, there it is then, time for another nap.

Not sure about the bucket.
Guess I could do a depth charge kinda thing but figure I'll just give myself a break for a day or two and fall asleep the old fashioned way.

Goofy that sounds great. Hey you gave it your best shot. Nothing to be ashamed of there.

Rest well people.

Evening and Happy New Year.

Was attacked by a baked ham, butternut-apple-curry soup, scalloped taters and cheese, lobster shrimp clam bisque, bread, salad and apple cobbler.

We went three rounds and called it for the ham.

If is any comfort ROB, I'am still sitting on the three rums.

Thanks Pottery.

Bit of a crisis here at the moment.
I am completely and totally out of rum.
I'm thinking Wolfy musta let Lefty into the locker again!

So...got beer, but only the ultra light stuff. Have plenty of wine, but I'm not in the mood, and some 153 proof grain alcohol.

Hmmm...

Bit of a quandry.

That is surely a Serious Predicament.
A most Inauspicious way, to set off into the New Year. Dreadful.

Of course, there is always the option to pour all of your existing stuff into a bucket and sit with the bucket on your lap, sucking the brew up through a straw.

Not sure how that sort of behaviour will go down with the Family, but you'll never know until you put it to the Test.

Off to bed for me.
Busy one in the morning, and the Lady's sister and husband arrive tomorrow evening for 3 weeks.
