Portlight recieve's Award at NCIL Conference

Each year the NCIL, The National Counsel for Independent Living, at their annual conference announces it Advocacy Awards that recognize's individual's and/or organizations for outstanding advocacy efforts.

Regional Advocacy Awards were presented to the winners at NCIL’s 2014 Annual Conference on Independent Living, during the Awards Luncheon.

This years region 4 Award was awarded to Portlight and received by Portlight's President Paul Timmons, last Wednesday, July 30th, 2014.

This Award is a direct reflection of the good works done by Portlight Volunteers across America, and beyond as well.

With them, and your contributions the Portlight Community continues to grow and expand its Mission to serve the disabled and the underserved in times of Disaster, and how to teach others to prepare for such.

People helping People is a Good thing.

The Conference was held at the Grand Hyatt,Washington, D.C.
