I've many passions but two of them are reading & camping, so naturally my camper's name is Parnassus for Christopher Morely's "Parnassus on Wheels".

It's time for a new blog, so I thought I'd do this one in honor of my best 4-legged buddy, Sammy. (Scroll down for 'Mad-Dog' photo!)
We took some photos on our daily hike through the woods and he just looks so striking that I have to post a few photos (taken with my new camera!) and show him off!
Doesn't he look handsome?
Here he is running. I uploaded another photo of him running with his jowls flopping so that his teeth are bared and it makes him look like a mad dog. It's actually hilarious, but the photo didn't show up after it said it was successfully up-loaded so I'm not sure what happened; maybe the approvers thought he looked too scary and didn't let it go through? Anyway, it goes to show why my two year old grand-daughter Emma laughs like crazy when Sammy runs because when all the loose skin on his face and his jowls move so much and his ears are flying back, it really does look pretty silly!
HERE IT IS! I found the 'Mad Dog' photo! Can you believe my beautiful dog can look like this when he gallops along? I crack-up every time I look at this!
One of the many little gem-like ponds we see on our walks.
The path; finally, no snow!!! Whoopie!
Hubby Lorne walking ahead in the woods.
One of hundred of twisty trees; I wonder if it's the wind that twists them up like this.
Spring is almost here. Yesterday, when I went out to run some errands, I just couldn't help myself and I bought most of the stuff we'll need for our veggie garden this year. I'm itching to get started but it's still too cold and even if the snow is gone, the ground is still partially frozen, even on warm days.
Come on, Spring!!! I want to break ground! I want flowers!
