Back in the Saddle Again.....

Hi All!

It's bedtime, so this is just a quick post to let you all know that Gateway promptly sent us a new hard drive (free) but we had to pay about a hundtred bucks at Best Buy (and drive an hour to get there because we're so far out in the boonies) to get everything off the crashed hard-drive put on a disk. I've still got some more copying to do to get everthing back on the computer, but at least it's operational again! Thanks for your posts while I was gone!

{{{hugs}}} to you all! ~ Beth (PeaceRiverBP)

Just a quick note to let you all know that my computer has crashed!!! :-( I'll be off the air for a few weeks. thanks for all your posts- I'll be going through WUBA withdrawals while I'm gone!

Hello! This may be bordering on the category or "too much information" but, to update all those kind souls who posted their poison ivy cures; I may not have poison ivy after all. It's been a long time since I've had it- the last time was 15 years ago. After mowing the lawn I must have somehow gotten some poison ivy oils on my hand and then used that hand to scratch my neck. All I have to say is that I'm glad my nose didn't itch. The result was that my hand turned into a bumpy, itchy, oozy mess and my neck- ugh! It looked like I'd been attacked by a very determined toothless vampire. I was really embarrassed to have anyone see it- it must have been the Mother of All Hickies.

This time, I felt the familiar itching and saw the bumps and thought with dread that this must be the first stages of poison ivy, but it hasn't developed as most poison ivy rashes do- it's just white bumps under the skin - almost like thousands of mosquito bites, except for the fact that I haven't seen any of those little blood suckers yet this summer. So, my next guess is that I must be having an allergic reaction to either my new moisturizing lotion or the bug spray my hubby sprayed on his legs a few days ago- even though he did wash it off in the shower after he came inside. I have terribly sensitive skin and it doesn't take much to make me break out in rashes or hives.

Oh well! Such is life! Thanks very much to everyone who took the time to write with your cures! I'll post replies in a few minutes!

Good Morning!

This isn't the best way to start the day. I noticed my lower legs were itching before I even got out of bed... and upon getting up, I saw that my legs from the knees down are totally covered in bumps!

I haven't had poison ivy in years, but I strongly suspect that I've got it now! If anyone has any advice on poison ivy cures or products that relief the itch, please let me know- I'll be eternally grateful!

Hi Folks!

It's time to start a new blog! Here are some photos of The Ark II- it's a 1998 Pace Arrow 36S, with a lot more room and fewer miles on it, so we're very happy. It's a bit of a mess, still- hopefully will get it straightened out by the weekend!

For some reason the photos I copied from my camping website were only 'visable' for a day and then turned into red X's.

So, I'll upload them on this website so more folks can see them. :-D

Happy Memorial Day Weekend, Folks!

We'll be moving into our new RV home, today, but we're planning on being all settled by Monday, so we can stop to honor America's fallen heroes who have made it possible to live our lives in freedom.

Have a GREAT weekend! :-D

Hello, Folks!

We're at the park and just finished setting up the RV and the outdoor room. A kind and generous neighbor is letting me tap into his wireless internet connection, so my I'm back on the Internet again.

It was an uneventful drive here. We hadn't bought gas since we first bought the motor home, so we filled up on the way. Say goodbye to a hundred bucks!

It didn't take long to get unpacked and we're very happy to be here. I'm not sure when we'll actually start working- probably on Monday. Our new boss stopped by for a few minutes and said he'd be back later to talk to us more and we'll get more details.

We're taking a break now that it's the hot part of the day, but we'll get out later and try to get some wildlife shots.
