The K4O4 Airport Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) reported a 61 mph wind gust at 10:10 PM Wed. night, June 10th, as the thunderstorm approached. There is no data on the airport daily history graph from yesterday showing this peak wind gust, nor on the weather.gov site either. I wonder how WU got this report when there was no record of it? Anyway... I did hear a roaring wind about the same time as mentioned above.

Normally when a severe thunderstom watch is posted I monitor it until I hear loud thunder and then "hunker down" with all power cords unplugged(except for the refrigerator), the tv/internet cables removed, and just a few candles burning. There was frequent lighting that made the night as bright as day, no thunder, fast & heavy rain for 45 minutes, and then a calm. It was quite humid all day and night Wed. and sleeping after the storm passed came slowly. Air conditioners are back on now and Torri (an orange rose) went back outside at first light. She was happy to be sheltered from the storm and happier to get back to her blooming spot today. Φ
