Hello hello hello
Is there anybody
in there

How Я U ?

I am well, better, but I am not sureЯ ,
Я U?

After all the Jacks have left their boxes and the clowns have all gone to bed You can hear happiness staggering on down the street Footprints dressed in red And the wind whispers Mary
from 'The Wind Cries Mary' The Jimi Hendrix Experience ©1967 Track Records

● 8.35am The temperature has nudged up a bit to 75° since the 72° overnite low at 4.50am & humidity is 89% relative. The skies have cleared. The day begins, the clowns may return...

Today should be slightly warmer than yesterday - 91°
However, that temp is not etched in stone, nor is it my own idea. It is a PointCast for my insignificant area by the Weather Service.  Read more just below about yesterday's surprising duplicate rain fall. I was unavailable, elsewhere then, and did not update last nite.

2.55pm 89° 97° first Peak Temp & H.I.

Last Update for the Situation-- they  are standing still
There are many storms East of here but the mixdown of the Drier Air from Kansas has controlled our rainless half-cloudy day.

Hard to know exactly where to look & hard to see the NE-SW lying clouds have nearly reached the Red River here, and will very likely be rain filled. Click it for high resolution.

Yes ter Day

● 1pm The temp was not at all that high, as 87° but the H.I. was 95 and Solar Rads 1150 W/m2 (watts per square meter), the highest so far this year. Within 30 minutes everything changed. First at 1.15 the Winds Gusted from the NNE at 25mph, ushering in the storm. Next: Temp plummeted 14° to 73, H.I. fell off the chart, Solar Rads went to 0 (the sky was completely overcast from dense high clouds); all this all at once and then it began to rain 0.7 inches in 15 minutes (a downpour). By 3.15 the H.I. tied its earlier reading, temp was 84 and solar rads peaked the same as before.
2-Day Rain Total 1.4 in.  A dent in the drought has started. Another 6 in. by the end of July and crops will grow and cattle will have grass to eat.

As for the rest of you, this prolonged lack of rain was a warning to the polluters who live in denial. There is a microclimate in this area where I live, quickly altered by passenger truck fumes, controlled burns of tree stumps left from cut down trees, burning leaves, and mostly the ignorant attitude many polluters have that defies common sense and reason and who insist they can destroy, poison the water, cut, burn and smoke up the skies whenever they want. I differ with this attitude. We should be thankful for this pristine area we have that is slowly appearing on the EPA Watchlist.

Monday the day before yesterday
This afternoon was surprising. because it finally rained!
I heard the thunder and got between my satiny sheets to rest, ignoring the skies, and the air machine. Too many times had I watched too many promising storms simply fade away while I reported them here for Many hours, almost all bewildering wastes of time. When I heard a louder thunderclap I came here(to my blog) and checked the WunderMap® only to have multiple power outages from cloud-to-ground lightning. It did rain 0.7 inches from 4.30-5pm -- heralded by a 35mph gust from the North, with a  Δ T = -16°.  The Temp fell 16° from 89 -73 in 20 min(4.50-5.10pm)

I'm reporting in-depth because this was significant weather and the National Weather Service was right, while giving themselves leeway  to  be right even if it didn't rain!

Welcome to the new Drought.

Read all about it instead of worrying about roasting hotdogs on an outdoor grill during a burn-ban. Be glad the Fires to our West have not spread East... yet! The drought will not be over until 7 inches of rain occur slowly in the next few weeks.

A UV Index reading of 8 to 10 means VERY HIGH risk of harm from unprotected sun exposure. Minimize sun exposure during midday hours, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Protect yourself by liberally applying a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15. Wear protective clothing and sunglasses to protect the eyes. Take extra precautions. Unprotected skin will be damaged and can burn quickly. Minimize sun exposure between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Otherwise, seek shade, cover up, wear a hat and sunglasses, and use sunscreen. Take all precautions. Unprotected skin can burn in minutes. Beachgoers should know that white sand and other bright surfaces reflect UV and will increase UV exposure. Seek shade, cover up, wear a hat and sunglasses, and use sunscreen.

*The UV Index is predicted by the National Weather Service each day for the following day.

Iʼve enjoyed being your hostess during this flight

I will be brief now and will modify this tomorrow YCD. The backward R is the Cyrllic Capital letter Ya located in the Character Map on a Windows Computer. I have to copy it to put it here, unlike many manual Alt 0176 style numeric codes degree symbol. I don't know if you see that.

So if you have a desktop which I think you do, find the Character Map. The filename is charmap.exe . Once ur in the character map window just below the characters (letters and numbers etc) is the line marked Character Set To the right change it to Unicode and you will see many more hidden chacters for the particular font. The mirror image R is one of them. WU won't let me put any of the extra characters in the comments

Good Morning OrangeRoses:
"I before E except after C" is a meaningless response but I had to write it to get rid of it.
Intensity has a way of building on itself: "Full speed ahead and Damn the torpedoes!".
How do you get the R to go backward?
My evaporation gauge is down to 1/2 inch. I'm going to water it up to about 3" 'cause we are in a drying trend now.
I don't like putting ointments on my skin but I do wear full cover: long sleeve white shirt and wide brimmed Stetson. Nobody sells anything better than "clip on" sunglasses for eyeglass wearers here so I may have to buy another pair today. It's only going up to 27C. but the "I" factor on a roof in this sun makes me think the "Chem Trail" theory might not be such a bad idea.

Thank you for such comments. I thought you might like the Dali even if it isn't your Dolly. Yes, we are in a drought and I suspected this to be true and wanted to get official verification from the national weather service(whom I taunt so much...) but it's more like a temper tantrum--throwing televisions out passenger side car windows at oncoming rumm rumm rumm passenger trucks menacing). WoW this coffee today has accelerated me! Don't try to figure this out. It's just a 'flying magnet hyperdrive [engine] that has never seen any reason to remain the same.' << quote from Hyperdrive

I love time-warping from 16D then back to III D (or IV). I think the movie Stargate started my belief there were places that exist that I had never seen. But I do get excited when someone I admire greatly remembers my existential presence.

I use a local website(mesonet.org) for rain totals because the weather service uses a small airport that has no rain gauge. That quote about "everything is now" is actually from a song I composed. And to tantalize you a little more, here's another excerpt from that same song I wrote:

But you don't have to go back so young
You can merely forget
What has become
The solid impasse of the world past
And losing fear
Journey at last

In to the dimension of eternal now
That's all it takes
You know how.
I think you may now start to see that Intensity and Creativity belong on the same tree, although I & C can only be followed by U if I is exponentially large.
in case this made no sense. ICU (intensive care unit) would be needed if you get too Intense. Have a pleasant Eve or Day.

Good morning OrangeRoses:
Where have I seen that "Mood" before?
"pool stages have fallen some three and a half to nearly five feet below normal"
I built a rain gauge in a downpour a week or so ago:
set a straight sided beer mug on the porch handrail and snapped off a short section of an old broken metal measuring tape. Over the next few days the water level rose to about 1 5/8" then the rains stopped. I just looked at the gauge and it reads 1".
I did not record the time and date of earlier measurements "because Everything is Now".

I see, I think? Thanks for your welcome comments oregonbirdofprey. The drawing beneath the lyrics and the hypercube influence on the song somehow show the musicians believe it would be possible to time travel, which is also a Sci-Fi theme. I did some in-depth research on all this to learn why this particular song opened my eyes -- the incredibly complex equations, higher dimensions hiding inside the Seen. M-Theory, etc. Anyway, I'm not smart on all this stuff, I just surmised these California musicians in the 70's must have known about all this and may have had friends in Universities like Caltech, UCSB, Princeton, and others who tried to explain this to them. All because I felt it, I believe there are things I've never seen that I believe.

Go back farther to Airplane. I haven't heard it in years but I remember I liked Red Octopus quite a lot.
