Fast Now 12.52 Update
There is a ring of storms around Wilburton or Robbers Cave State Park 65 miles NW of here. One is heading N, another NE, and the third SE marked red for heavy rain; the general direction moving NE into N McCurtain County. These storms formed ahead of the cold front.

May Day (link)

The outbreak into beauty which Nature makes at the end of April and beginning of May excites so joyful and admiring a feeling in the human breast, that there is no wonder the event should have at all times been celebrated in some way. The first emotion is a desire to seize some part of that profusion of flower and blossom which spreads around us, to set it up in decorative fashion, pay it a sort of homage, and let the pleasure it excites find expression in dance and song.

Slideshow: Understanding the Atmosphere  NY Times

Seen from a plane high above Oklahoma, clouds cluster in a layer not far above the earth’s surface. Low-lying clouds of this type tend to have a cooling effect on the climate, but other clouds tend to warm it. Scientists want to know how the balance will change as climate change proceeds.

Protection against sun damage is needed. If you need to be outside during midday hours between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., take steps to reduce sun exposure. A shirt, hat and sunscreen are a must, and be sure you seek shade. Beachgoers should know that white sand and other bright surfaces reflect UV and can double UV exposure.

5am Sunday National Weather Service Shreveport discussion

The winds of change are blowing over the plains with a strong cold front pushing across northwest kn and the far western panhandles of OK/TX. This front will break the pattern of late with additional clouds and showers and thunderstorms for a nice change. As is generally the case this time of year with a cold front severe weather is a possibility. Day one from Storm Prediction Center runs across southeast OK by this time tomorrow [5 am Monday] and here is our highest probability of precipitation in the short term.
3pm update:
A Mesoscale Convective Vortex should also be making its way east-northeast into the region tonight.
Definitions: This MCV is a low-pressure center within an MesoscaleConvective System (MCS) that pulls winds into a circling pattern, or vortex.  A MCS is a complex of thunderstorms which becomes organized on a scale larger than the individual thunderstorms, and normally persists for several hours or more. On a satellite the MCV resembles a hurricane.  Look at the most recent infrared satellite map and you may see a MCV developing where the two orange blobs appear near Nacogdoches and Huntsville, TX.

Carcinogens, Smog, Carbon Monoxide, and Fine Particle Air Pollution (EPA.GOV)

This section is self-explanatory. One of the reasons this emplacement is here is because most people have no idea how unhealthy the Air is. A slow, careful reading should make us more appreciative of electric vehicles and start
passenger trucks!

EPA Light-Duty Truck -- Tier 0, Tier 1, and Clean Fuel Vehicle Exhaust Emission Standards

NMOG, NMHC, or THC—types of carbon-containing compounds, including hydrocarbons
NOx—Oxides of Nitrogen, which combine with hydrocarbons to create smog
PM—Particulate Matter, tiny particles of solid matter that lodge in the lungs and deposit on buildings
CO—Carbon Monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas
HCHO—Formaldehyde, a lung irritant and carcinogen

These particles come in many sizes and shapes and can be made up of hundreds of different chemicals. Some particles, known as primary particles are emitted directly from a source, such as construction sites, unpaved roads, fields, smokestacks or fires. Others form in complicated reactions in the atmosphere of chemicals such as sulfur dioxides and nitrogen oxides that are emitted from power plants, industries and automobiles. These particles, known as secondary particles, make up most of the fine particle pollution in the country.

• Fine particles are easily inhaled deep into the lungs where they may accumulate, react, be cleared or absorbed.

Fast Facts Particle Pollution (link)

Scientific studies have linked particle pollution, especially fine particles, with a series of significant health problems:

Increased respiratory symptoms, such as irritation of the airways, coughing, or difficulty breathing
for example:

  decreased lung function;
•  aggravated asthma;
  development of chronic bronchitis;
•  irregular heartbeat;
  nonfatal heart attacks
premature death in people with heart or lung disease.

Particle pollution can cause

coughing, wheezing, and decreased lung function even in otherwise healthy children and adults.

SHRUTIS: The Revealing Science of God can be seen as an ever-opening flower in which
simple truths emerge examining the complexities and magic of the past
and how we should not forget the song that has been left to us to hear.
The knowledge of God is a search, constant and  clear.

Dawn of light lying between a silence and sold sources
Chased amid fusions of wonder
In moments hardly seen forgotten
Coloured in pastures of chance dancing leaves cast spells of challenge
Amused but real in thought, we fled from the sea whole

Dawn of thought transferred through moments of days undersearching earth
Revealing corridors of time provoking memories
Disjointed but with purpose
Craving penetrations offer links with the self instructors sharp and tender love
As we took to the air a picture of distance

Dawn of our power we amuse redescending as fast as misused expression
As only to teach love as to reveal passion chasing late into corners
And we danced from the ocean

Dawn of love sent within us colours of awakening among the many wont to follow
Only tunes of a different age
As the links span our endless caresses for the freedom of life everlasting

Talk to the sunlight caller
Soft summer mover distance mine
Called out a tune but I never saw the face
Heard but not replaced
I ventured to talk but I never lost my place
Cast out a spell rendered for the light of day
Lost in lights array
I ventured to see as the sound began to play

What happened to this song we once knew so well
Signed promise for moments caught within the spell
I must have waited all my life for this
Moment moment

The future poised with the splendour just begun
The light we were as one
And crowded through the curtains of liquid into sun
And for a moment when our world had filled the skies
Magic turned our eyes
To feast on the treasure set for our strange device

What happened to wonders we once knew so well
Did we forget what happened, surely we can tell
We must have waited all our lives for this
Moment moment moment

Starlight movement
Release forward
Tallest rainbow
Sun shower seasons
Life flower reasons
They move fast, they tell me
But I just can't believe that I can feel it

There's someone to tell you
Amid the challenge we look around in unison with you
Getting over overhanging trees, let them rape the forest
Thoughts would send our fusion clearly to be home
Getting over wars we do not mean, or so it seems so clearly
Sheltered with our passion clearly to be home
They move fast, they tell me
But I just can't believe they really mean to
There's someone to tell you
And I just can't believe our song will leave you

Skyline teacher
Warland seeker
Send out poison
Cast iron leader

And through the rhythm of moving slowly
Sent through the rhythm work out the story
Move over glory to sons of old fighters past
Young Christians see it from the beginning
Old people feel it, that's what they're saying
Move over glory to sons of old fighters past
They move fast, they tell me
But I just can't believe they really mean to
There's someone to tell you
A course towards a universal season

Getting over overhanging trees, let them rape the forest
They might stand and leave them clearly to be home
Getting over wars they do not mean, we charm the movement suffers
Call out all our memories clearly to be home
We've moved fast, we need love
A part we offer is our only freedom

What happened to this song we once knew so well
Signed promise for moments caught within the spell
We must have waited all our lives for this
Moment moment...

Morning OrangeRoses:
I'd be surprised if I'm the only person out there reading but I'm the only commentor so far. There is a lot here I have not investigated obviously but I'll keep checking in and try to imagine an appropriate comment some day.
Catwaba is not common here but when the Dogwood flower fully I'll post a picture on my blog

Thanks for stopping by ycd0108. I feel a magnetic affinity. I pulled the enigma rivers of belief and added on to the 20 min Yes song which I have(in silver font colors). It is not my own persuasion or trying to make any kind of point. It is highly mystical, this Revealing Science of God poem, and the vocals are beautiful soft non-stop chants that a person may not even hear at all or..could pay attention. I should say less for 'less is more' sometimes. Right now I hear a barking squirrel outside which means a cat is lurking hoping the squirrel descends. Oh, I forgot! I learned what that very pretty flower was on the tree that planted itself. A Catalpa(Catawba). Over 10 feet tall now. I saw some 80 yr old Catawba trees, and in case you missed it will repost the picture.

saw you on my iPod but could not read the beige print.
Had to squint on the desktop as well.
Interesting post though.

Thanks for your comments. The font colors are unique to WU I think. This color is medium violet red. Readability is important if I have readers. I like the silver color with the slightest shade of pale green background color. And I change colors too. Sometimes I hide things using advanced coding. You can highlight any area and it should reveal what you cannot see. Come again.
