Low 50's forecasted overnight. The graphs below update every 20 minutes when you refresh my blog. The history begins Midnight Monday with Midnight Tuesday in the center and end with Midnight Wednesday.

Red Flag Warning continues Sept 5, 2011

Red flag warning remains in effect until 8 PM CDT this evening

* affected area... all of the Linden and Henderson dispatch zones of East Texas served by the National Weather Service in Shreveport Louisiana and McCurtain County in southeast Oklahoma.

* Wind... north 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

* Humidity... 20 to 30 percent.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Burn bans are currently in place for much of the area but otherwise...outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that extreme fire weather conditions are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of strong winds... low relative humidity... and dry vegetation will create explosive fire growth potential. Avoid all outside burning and welding today. Do not toss lit cigarette Butts outside. Report wild fires to the nearest Fire Department or law enforcement
office.

Sept. 5, 2011 Also a Lake Wind Advisory continues until 7 PM tonight
