So we enter the peak season of tropical activity and the tropics seem to realize this and becoming active.
Currently TS Cristobal is dumping a lot of rain over the Bahamas, but this storm is going to be pulled out to sea,it may sideswipe Bermuda.
Then farther out is 97L.we will have to watch this one by the weekend, probably following the same path as Cristoal, but too early to start predicting that.
Then last but not least a possible development in the Gulf.Texas may have to watch this one as the week goes on. Labor Day weekend could be interesting.
Feels nice to have some warmth.and not a lot of humidity with this heat either.
One more day tomorrow, then as like most of the summer a cold front sweeps through. and like most of the summer it doesn't get far before it moves back north and hangs up over us,just in time to ruin most of the holiday weekend.
I reached 88 degrees that last two days, today will be the last chance to hit 90. That will depend on how quickly the clouds move in from the approaching cold front.May get a brief shower or thunderstorm late this afternoon around 5 pm.If clouds move in quicker,we won't get a 90 degree day. That will make it two years in a row without a 90 degree day in August.
I hit 90 degrees for the first time this month and probably will be the last time this summer.
Only reached 90 five times this summer,so never really had any heat waves.
cool down for the next few days before more humid weather returns Sunday and Monday along with some unsettled weather. No washout, but not a great holiday weekend,Saturday being the best day of the weekend.
So for most of this year we have been stuck a trough pattern for the northeast, which kept regenerating itself and keeping warm air at bay,now as we enter September the pattern changes.
A ridging pattern sets in for the start of September and warmer more summerlike weather will set in this weekend and probably last through next week.Hard to figure our weather.
