I guess the other question is,was summer ever here? Not really. At least last year we had a very hot first 2/3rds of July to make it a short summer, but this year from start to finish, you can count the hot days on one hand. As it stands right now with the blocking over Greenland in place and not moving out any time soon. I think we can say summer will not return.Of course the pattern can change suddenly as we all know, but there are no signs of that happening anytime soon. This august is almost identical to last year.
Chilly morning, dropped to 50 degrees.Inland areas in the 40's this morning.
Still the August sun will warm some of us close to 80 today.Another beautiful day.Pattern pretty much staying in place, will just have to watch and see if a coastal low gets close enough to give us some rain on Sunday.
Although mornings feel like fall, the day warms up to a comfy temp.Although its not hot,its real nice weather. With comfortable evenings. Really can't complain, unless your one of those that likes the heat and humidity. One more warm day and then the wind turns off the ocean and we will run cooler than normal through the weekend. Its really amazing this pattern had hung in now with troughs over Greenland,an upper low over the Hudson bay area and anther low around the Alaskan bay area. This pattern keeps the heat down to the south of us.
With a couple of systems surrounding us and a warm front washing out to our west, theres a lot of clouds around the next couple of days. Also a flow off the ocean will keep things below normal.Looks to be another below normal August, like last year.
Made it through another week. Weather pretty quiet, except for a few showers last night and this morning.Should clear out tomorrow afternoon and be fair and cool.A small warming trend for next week, before another front approaches the area. We will have to watch 96L to see where that goes. Models all over the place, don't even care about models right now until we get some kind of decent center. Not even sure this will develope.
