Ramblings on a cloudy Wednesday morning

By: NEwxguy , 2:11 PM GMT on March 28, 2012

My last day at work this week, before a couple of days off to do my room makeover at the house.

Different things crossing my mind this morning.
1.Weather in New England is ever changing. Wednesday last week,I wasn't running my heat, windows open going home in the afternoon, windows open around the house, and enjoying the warm air.Now back to a winter coat.Heat on in the house, hat and gloves walking Prince in the evening. It was nice while it lasted.
2.One more week and the Redsox open in Detroit, and the long season of baseball is underway.I have no excitement about my team, still stinging from their historic collapse last season.
3.Our hockey team is gearing up for the playoffs, with their third win in a row last night.
4. Watching the demontstrators down in Washingto as the Supreme Court hears arguments against the government mandated insurance program.Demonstrators on both sides.I started thinking, don't these people have lives?I've often wanted to go and make my opinion felt for different subjects, but my life is too busy to just run off and demonstrate.I applaud them for demonstrating, thats whats great about this country is you can protest, but where do they find the time?
5. Don't know if anyones been paying attention to the skies in the evening this week, but the small crescent moon has been dancing with Venus and Jupiter. Each night there is a different arrangement.Kind of a nice threesome.
Anyway, will check in from time to time before I leave for my working vacation.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable day.

Hi,Mass,it does sound like temps will recover somewhat next week, which is fine with me. Those early flowers that are drooping should bounce back, they are probably dry more than anything.
I completed my taxes a couple of weeks ago.
Good to see you LT,ok, so a lot of those my be unemployed,so the next question is where do they get the money to travel and where are the staying. Anyway can't worry about that I got enough in my life to worry about.
Have a great rest of the week and weekend as I will be off the computer the next four days doing home construction project.

Hi NEw, quickly popped in and found all your points above really interesting. Thanks for a quick read and good food for thought.

If I don't see you around, enjoy your working weekend! Good luck with your renovations.

Hello NEw,

I knew you had some nice weather because Betsey sent pictures of them all playing ball in the park in shorts and t-shirts in March!

Have not stopped in for awhile and wanted to say hello.

So you got a house project going also? We start having the "popcorn" taken off our ceilings on Monday.. want a smooth ceiling finish..
then the Kitchen cabinets arrive April 20th so we will probably demo the kitchen and wall the week before that..
not sure when all the electrical work will get done...

going to be a crazy few months at the house..

Good luck on your project.

Hi NE, echo your thoughts, especially on points 1, 4, and 5. Don't these people work? Well I guess there is high unemployment!

Happy Noontime NEw!

Thought I'd check in quickly, while finding some time in a very hectic day, to again wish you all the very best with your home renovation plans. Hope its all successfully completed by Sunday night. Make sure to pace yourself and get enough rest before heading back to work on Monday.

It's so discombobulating to be experiencing these near winter-like temps this week. Sorry to say that all those spring tulips, crocuses, trees, etc. that bloomed early last week, look to have either bitten the dust or been severely impacted by a couple of overnight freezes. Hope warmer seasonal temps of, at least, near 60F will arrive by next week.

May you and the Mrs. both a pleasant Palm Sunday and/or April Fools Day, as both coincidentally fall on the same day this Sunday, April 1st. Boy, time sure is flying by! I'm trying to finish up preparing our taxes among many other projects. ARRGGGH!!! Give me some warmth, sunshine and much needed stamina! LOL!
