paraskevidekatriaphobia!!!

For all those people afraid of Friday the 13th.Good luck today.I personally am not superstitious, but it does give a convenient excuse when things go wrong,I have a bad day.
Jonathan Paplebon started his Friday the 13th early, giving the Red Sox a very bad loss.
Our weather certainly isn't bad luck,we have low humidity, temps in the 70's,very refreshing weather right through the weekend. Then humidity comes back and a front hangs up over us,so there will be a threat of showers and thunderstorms all week, not a washout, but a risk each day.
The Patriots started off their preseason looking good, with some new wrinkles in their offense.Scoring will not be their problem this year, its keeping the other team from scoring that may be the issue.
So hope everyone has a great day filled with nothing but good luck.

A Friday 13th Funny Story

Roger left for work on Friday 13th morning. Friday was payday, so instead of going home, he stayed out the entire weekend partying with the boys and spending his entire pay packet.

Finally, Roger appeared at home on Sunday night, and obviously he was confronted by his angry wife, Martha who castigated Roger for nearly two hours with a tirade befitting his actions. Finally, Martha stopped the nagging and said to Roger, 'How would you like it if you didn't see me for two or three days?'

Roger replied grimly, 'That would be fine with me.'

Monday went by and he didn't see his Martha. Tuesday and Wednesday came and went with the same results.

On Thursday, the swelling went down just enough so that Roger he could see Martha a little out of the corner of his left eye

ROFL that is good!!!!

One other bit of advice on Friday the 13th,
its bad luck to jump out of the 13th floor.

I just have one question about that, NEw, "Will it make a difference when one lands?" LOL's!

In any event, hope you and the Mrs. have a glorious weekend!

Mass, your probably right, shouldn't jumped to conclusions,on the other hand, some of those circumstances you mentioned, history of substance abuse, pressures in his personal life, doesn't make him a good candidate for dealing with the public and some of the idiots you have to face.Like Alley said, maybe a desk job would be more suited for him at least right now.

Since this is Friday, like to throw a subject out there for people's opinion.
We've all seen the story about the flight attendant who flipped out on a flight and left the plane on the escape chute and took a couple of beers before he left.
One of the local news stations in the morning, has a blog where they put a subject out there to get peoples opinion and this morning they wanted to know since the majority of people seem to be supporting this guy, would you mind having him as your flight attendant, since he wants his job back. The majority of people said they wouldn't mind.
Thinking about this,I kind of would like my flight attendant to be stable in case of an emergency.Knowing what this guy did,I would have my doubts he would be a good guy to have around to keep people calm during an emergency. He seems to be wound a little to tight.

Hi NEw!

I wouldn't want to rush to judgement either way until ALL the facts are in.

From what I can gather from various news sources:

Mr. Slater has worked in the airline industry for 28 years without prior incident.

His myspace page confirms that he's battled substance abuse, his father has recently died and he is currently taking care of his critically-ill mother. Both parents also worked in the airline industry.

His mother and, last night his ex-wife on CNN, both support him and question those passengers who have come forth days later with conflicting stories.

He was also injured in the head by the over-head luggage some impetuous female passenger was trying to get out BEFORE the plane had landed. Air safety policy prohibits such action and, for some reason, after fruitless arguing with her, this incident made him snap.

Currently, things will have to be worked out between his lawyer and Jet Blue. However, if this is just an isolated incident after 28 yrs of service, I think he should be given, some counseling, leniency and the benefit of the doubt if the above facts are true. IMHO

GM,alley, yeh,I agree, but it is really amazing how everyone is jumped on his band wagon and made him into some kind of hero, and some of the comments from some of the passengers on that flight said he was acting strange the whole flight.

GOod morning NEW..I agree with you, that flight attendent is a loose cannon and not cut out to be a flight attendent. Perhaps a desk job is more suited to his personality. I feel so sorry for those people behind the desks who try so hard to accommodate people. There is always someone who demands more than is the norm and can be more than irritating. I was in customer service for a while and I know what some people are like. At least at a desk job, he would have more support nearby if someone because too abusive towards him.

Don't worry about the Saints comeback, don't forget it was subs in there, the first team defense looked real good to start the game.Julian edelman looks like he's going to be an exciting player, especially if welker gets back in.

paraskevidekatriaphobia!!!

A Good Friday the 13th Morning to you NEw!

Shouldn't you have said PATS- askevidekatriaphobia when the SAINTS caught up to the PATS in the second half last night? LOL's!! Granted, they've improved some in the Red Zone, but they still need to work on their defense in the second-half. Twas a bit of a nail-biter in the end, but it did make the game more interesting. Hope they'll continually improve throughout the pre-season and be in tip-top shape throughout the regular one!

Would you like a PATS game weather sticker for your blogs? Either Wunderground is being really generous this year or I'm a day late and a dollar short on finding these things. Probably, the latter! LOL's! Nice way to keep track of whom they're playing!

HAVE A GREAT AND LUCKY FRIDAY THE 13TH!

ENJOY!

Keith, the offense looked good, especially in the Red Zone, which was a nightmare last year,I think the offense is going to have a lot of new looks, which promises to make it a fun year.
