Awoke this morning to find the flurries of gnats and flies blown away with the final days of warmth for the year. I will have to work hard just to break a sweat between now and easter. The tree trimmers are swamped as we all brace ourselves for the falling limbs and trees shaken down like tiny sticks by the howling wind. The wind is coming from the north today and I can smell cinnamon and thanksgiving coming. Time to snuggle up. Cross my fingers for my noble sycamore tree, I hope it has enough strength to endure the cold and wind, if not we will all be squished.
