Hey Peeps, I've decided to restart this blog covering the Columbus Metro Area, specifically the Northwest side. So, on to the weather;For the rest of today it should be partly cloudy with a very minor chance of rain (around 20%).Tomorrow is where it could be interesting. According to Wunderground its a 60% chance of rain with some thunderstorms. But according to Jim Gynahl there's a high chance of rain with around an inch possible with heavy storms in the afternoon....

This week should be bout the same. Upper 50s tomorrow, and low 60's throughout the week. In other news, there is a line of storms on its way in, and we should see some rain later in the week. Have a good one!

i'm back

Sorry for the long break....We are looking at some unseasonable weather. Warming up into the 60's over the next several days, along with a chance of some rain.on the plus side, daylight savings time ends saturday, and spring starts in less than 3 weeks.

To sum up yesterdays storm: gusts of 66 were recorded at port columbus and 64 at rickenbacker. The storm also set a daily rainfall record for the Columbus area at .82 inches. Should be clear and windy for the next couple of days.

Worse and Worse

This system just keeps getting worse. We could see up to two inches of rain tomorrow and tomorrow night. Secondly, Sustained winds around 40 gusting into the 60's will cause massive damage. The trees in the area were severely weakened by the icing two weeks ago and the subsequent melt. Many will be without power wednesday night and thursday.
