Just an outdoor loving son of a toot! Loving Michigan and all it has to offer! Now a Texas transplant- living in Texas and loving all it has to offer!

As I sit here on a stoop watching the rain fall on this lovely Saturday morning at 1:00 AM, I realize the inherent transitivity of life.
2000 years ago, some Roman decided to arbitrarily add two months to the calendar year to honor their emperors Julius and Augustus. Hence, ever since, the months September thru December have forever had false prefixes.
I think that is why it is, for some obtuse reason, downpouring and storming tonight. We should be in the eight month right now, not the tenth. This warm weather is more suited towards the summer than the end of the year.
And so, don't you ever wonder how relatively unimportant your life is? Even something as small as the name you call your month is dictated by some dirty Roman dude two millennia ago.
Why, then, should we worry about the small stuff? It's Michigan, it should be god damn cold right now, and instead I have to run in 80 degree heat tomorrow!!! JULIUS CEASER, I ABHORRRRRR YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!
