Summer Heat Arrives Now That It Is Fall.

By: KPVWeatherman , 1:17 PM GMT on September 02, 2014

Climatically Fall begins September 1st. (The media's First Day of Fall comes on the equinox. Easier for announcers to explain.) But our weather has now turned Summer. Sunday was very warm, humid and calm. Not like we expect here so close to the ocean. By noon we had the windows closed and the AC's back on. Yesterday, Labor Day, was much the same. Every once in a while you would feel a stir of a breeze, but these were very micro breezes. And the trend will continue this week, but they promise a drop in humidity tomorrow as a weak cold front moves through.
