The Snow Dome is Up in Southern Ohio

By: Josh1105 , 6:32 AM GMT on December 14, 2013

Howdy Folks,

How is everyone on this awful morning?

It is an awful morning because Southern Ohio misses out on another good snow.

Thanks to a southwesterly flow we do not have the low temperatures necessary to create some of the fluffy white stuff, and we will be getting mostly rain, and a little sleet.

Don't expect much accumulation. Here are my estimates for the area:

Lawrence, Scioto, Gallia, and any counties below will receive a coating of snow, the rest rain.

Anything above the counties mentioned could see anywhere from 1"-2".

In the mountains of West Virginia you could see a good 3" or more.

Temperatures later in the day will be in the low 40s, and will drop to the mid 30s on Sunday. A few flurries Monday morning with the high in the upper 30s, and a high in the low 40s on Tuesday with a great deal of cloud cover. We will continue to warm up through the week, and will probably hit the mid 60s by Saturday, with a chance of some nasty thunderstorms.

I will keep you updated.
