Cooler days ahead followed by rain late tonight into this weekend
Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 54 and it feels like 54. Highs will continue to range between 65 and 73 with lows between 45 and 58. There is a slight chance of rain tomorrow, a 60% chance of rain on Friday, a slight chance of rain on Saturday, a 70% chance of rain on Sunday, a 60% chance of rain next Thursday, and a slight chance of rain next Friday. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 51 and it feels like 51. Todays high is 69 with a low of 53 and mostly cloudy. Thursdays high is 71 with a slight chance of rain.
Now, for your Severe/Winter Weather Update for the Southeast Region. There could be a threat of severe weather around March 26th-28th.
Now, for your Nationwide Severe Weather Outlook. The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has a (#1) Marginal Risk of severe weather for tomorrow over a portion of Northwestern Texas and Southwestern Oklahoma. Main threat will be for small hail and strong wind gusts.
Now, for your tropical update. In the Western Pacific, no development is expected over the next few days. In the North Indian Ocean, no development is expected over the next couple of days. In the Southern Hemisphere (South-West Indian Ocean Region), no development is expected over the next couple of days. In the Southern Hemisphere (Australian Region), (#1) Tropical Cyclone Nathan has winds of 75mph, gusting to 90mph, with a pressure of 988mbars. Movement is West at 2mph. Is expected to reintensify into a category 2 cyclone by late today/early tomorrow, and impact Northern part of Queensland, Australia by late tomorrow into Friday. In the Southern Hemisphere (South Pacific Region), no development is expected over the next five days.
