Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 52 and it feels like 52. Highs will continue to range between 56 and 73 with lows between 37 and 52. There is a 40% chance of AM showers on Sunday and a 50% chance of showers on Monday. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 51 and it feels like 51. Todays high is 66 and a low of 40 with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms. Mondays high is 63 with a 50% chance of showers.
Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, all is quiet. In the Eastern Pacific, Tropical Storm Rosa is weakening. Winds are at 30mph with a pressure of 1009mbars. Movement is West at 3mph. Is not a threat to land. Also, in the Eastern Pacific, a well-defined low pressure system located about 330 miles Southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico continues to produce a large area of showers and thunderstorms off the Southwestern Coast of Mexico. Some development of this system is possible today before upper-level winds become unfavorable for development by Monday. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a medium chance, 50%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves slowly Northeastward today and Northward by Monday.
