Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 34 and it feels like 34. Frost Advisory continues for North MS until 9am this morning. Highs will continue to range between 63 and 82 with lows between 38 and 53. There is a 30% chance of a few showers on Sunday. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 39 and it feels like 39. Todays high is 68 and a low of 45. Fridays high is 75.
Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, all is quiet. In the Eastern Pacific, we now have Tropical Storm Rosa. Winds are at 60mph with a pressure of 1000mbars. Movement is West at 2mph. Is not a threat to land. Also, in the Eastern Pacific, showers and thunderstorms associated with a weak low pressure system located about 475 miles Southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico remain disorganized. Upper-level winds do not appear conducive for development. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a low chance, 0%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves little.
Some of the computer models have pointed out a possible severe weather threat around the 11th of November. Given that November is our secondary month for tornadoes, we need to be aware and prepared. Hope yall are having a great Thursday and I'll have another post tomorrow morning.
