Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 48 and it feels like 44. Highs will continue to range between 65 and 83 with lows between 42 and 58. There is a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms today and a 30% chance of AM showers on Monday. Few storms could be strong to severe with large hail and gusty winds today. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 48 and it feels like 44. Todays high is 63 and a low of 45 with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms. Mondays high is 64 with a 30% of AM showers.
Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, disorganized cloudiness and showers extending a couple hundred miles East of the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands are associated with a weak low pressure system. Development, if any, of this disturbance is expected to be slow to occur. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a low chance, 10%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves West-Northwestward at 10-15mph. In the Eastern Pacific, Tropical Storm Olivia has formed. Winds are at 60mph with a pressure of 998mbars. Movement is West-Northwest at 8mph. May become a hurricane later tonight. Not a threat to land.
Hope yall are having a great Sunday and I'll have another post tomorrow morning.
