Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 52 and it feels like 52. Highs will continue to range between 65 and 81 with lows between 43 and 59. There is a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms today and a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms on Sunday. Few storms could be strong to severe with large hail and gusty winds. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 50 and it feels like 50. Todays high is 60 and a low of 48 with a 60% chance of thundershowers. Sundays high is 63 with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms.
Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, all is quiet. Tropical Storm Oscar dissipated yesterday. In the Eastern Pacific, showers and thunderstorms associated with a low pressure area centered about 850 miles Southwest of the Southern Tip of Baja California have increased this morning. Although a surface circulation has not developed yet, there is potential for a tropical depression to form later today or Sunday. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a high chance, 70%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves West-Northwestward at about 15mph.
