Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Chris is still hanging on and has intensified a bit. Winds are at 60mph with a pressure of 997mbars. Movement is East-Northeast at 20mph. Chris is no threat to the United States. A low pressure trough, that is producing cloudiness, showers, and thunderstorms over the Northwestern Caribbean Sea stretching into the Bahamas. Strong upper-level winds are forecast to gradually diminish over the Gulf of Mexico in the next couple of days and some slow development is possible of this disturbance as it moves slowly Northwestward toward the Central Gulf of Mexico. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a medium chance, 30%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours. In the Eastern Pacific, a broad low pressure system located about 330 miles South-Southeast of Baja, California has become a less organized and upper-level winds are not favorable for development. The National Hurricane Center is giving this system a low chance, 10%, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
Hope yall are having a great Thursday and I'll have another post tomorrow morning. Continue to pray for the tornado victims and those affected by damaging weather events.
