Weewx 2.6.2 Update Complete

By: ItsABeautifulDay , 1:50 AM GMT on February 28, 2014

The Marvinville Weather Thingy Research Institute has completed the process of updating the Weather Thingy's Raspberry Pi data processing unit to weewx version 2.6.2. Weewx 2.6.2 has a bug in the restx.py python module that provides RESTful services and was causing weewx to fail, preventing it from sending updates to Weather Underground. A patched restx.py module has fixed that bug.

Also, during the initial installation and debug process it appeared that weewx's SQLite database became corrupted, causing the html generator's webpages to stop getting new weather data. A reinstallation appears to have fixed that problem.

We will be monitoring the new weewx installation for any additional issues for the next few days. Stay tuned.
