Tropical Storm Ana and Tropical Depression Three are born.

Tropical Storm AnaAna was born overnight thanks to a burst of convection from ex-TD2 which regenerated. Right now its not looking all that healthy with some shear effecting it, causing the COC to be exposed. It could overnight get into a lower shear environment and as it hits the higher area of TCHP strengthen quite quickly if it even survives the day of course.Tropical Depression Three90L finally became a Tropical Depression overnight and satellite images indicatin...

90L gradually becoming Better organized, and will TD 2 rise from the dead?

90L gradually becoming better organizedNo change today with 90L since this morning, convection is sustaining itself at the moment but there is some light-moderate shear effecting the system from the east, causing convection to be somewhat lopsided. I expect this to change as 90L moves away from the higher shear environment and develop an Anti-Cyclone that will move in tandem with the system.(Current image of 90L, continuing in its WNW-W direction)The models are clos...

90L: The one to watch.

TD-2 might become a weak Tropical Storm. Now on the other hand we have 90L. Now, 90L is currently disorganized as many tropical waves are that are that massive. The QuickSCAT revealed 30 kt winds around the circulation, primary in two bands to the North and South of 90L's circulation.(Q...
