The average temperature at the Kansas City International Airport was
56.3 degrees...which was 0.5 degrees below normal. The average high
temperature was 66.6 degrees or 1.0 degrees below normal. The
average low temperature was 45.9 degrees which was normal. The
highest temperature for the month was 95 degrees on the 2nd and 3rd.
High temperature records were exceeded on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. The
lowest temperature was 31 degrees on the 14th and 23rd.
Precipitation came in at 3.29 inches for the month...or 0.04 inches
below normal. The greatest precipitation in a 24 hour period was
0.84 of an inch on the 21st.
At Saint Joseph...the average temperature was 52.4 degrees...which
was 4.3 degrees below normal. The average high was 64.1 degrees
which was 5.9 degrees below normal. The average low temperature was
40.6 degrees which was 2.7 degrees below normal. The highest
temperature was 95 degrees on the 3rd...which was also a record high
for the date. The lowest temperature was 23 degrees which occurred
on the 24th and 31st...which tied the record low for each date. A
record low was also observed on the 13th.
Precipitation at Saint Joseph was 2.85 inches...or 0.43 inches below
normal. The greatest precipitation in a 24 hour period was 1.02
inches on the 15th.
