I am sick and tired of living with no snow. This mid-Atlantic region, but specifically the Washington DC metro area, has become the home of a burgeoning snow desert. It still gets plenty cold enough, although seemingly not as cold as before or for as long. The problem arises once the precipitation makes its move towards the beltway, the temps are consistently too warm for frozen precipitation or the air is too dry for it to make its way to the ground. Virga and extended outlooks on Accu-weather are just about the only way to see significant snow for the snow-deprived(nay, depraved) souls wishing for a glorious dumping of snow to shut down the entire region, and perhaps the whole east coast.
So I wait. Snow toys unused but not unloved, waiting in the carport and under the fading lights of the Christmas tree. Will they ever see action? It's not looking good for this winter or ever again for this locale. Rainball FIGHT! I'd ride out the bomb bay doors with the bomb and Slim Pickens if that would change things with the snowgods. They clearly are plenty angry at something. Maybe they're waiting for inauguration day to reward/punish us depending on which side of the aisle you fall on. Remember: SNOW = GOOD
Lots of SNOW = GREAT
So I wait.
