Winter 2008 Point Standings
Greg takes the lead by himself and former co-leader Karl drops from first into a tie for sixth. Angie and Steve L. are now above the playoff line and Bethany drops just below it. Clair and Sue are still playing well and Brian F., back from his one-season sabbatical, is still right up there. There are still seven more weeks to go before the playoff week though!

Today’s Thought: Won the first two games and lost the last three of our bowling league's first half championship rolloff Wednesday night. Too bad, but we are still in first place for the league's second half for now. If we keep this up, we'll have another rolloff against the same team in early April for the league championship. My high games personally were a 222 and 213.

Today’s Holiday: Opposite Day (fun for kids everywhere!)
Today’s Forecast Grade: C-
Now: At 7am with breezy conditions and a pleasant-to-view sunrise (especially from inside the house), temps are still very cold, near -5 to -10 north and central and 0 to -5 south. Wind chills are probably -10 to -20 early this morning.
Synopsis: On Wednesday I said we've got two more days of this nasty cold weather before things start improving, and the improvement begins today (despite what it may feel like outside right now). High pressure just to our south is giving us the lack of clouds this morning, but as it moves off to the east, the winds will shift and become from the south, finally bringing in warmer air for later today and especially this weekend. Light snow currently in Iowa will work its way into Wisconsin later today though, giving us some snow showers late today and tonight.
Today: Morning sunshine with increasing clouds around lunchtime. Light snow showers possible later this afternoon. Breezy, high of 15 north and central, upper teens to near 20 south.
Tonight: Snow showers likely. 1-3" of accumulation possible by Saturday morning. Temps not changing much overnight with lows 5-10 north, lower teens central, and mid- teens south...above zero!
Saturday: Morning light snow showers or flurries, otherwise decreasing clouds and warmer. Highs near 20 north, mid- 20s central and south.
Sunday: Partly cloudy, breezy and warmer. Highs lower 30s north and central, mid- 30s south!
Monday: Windy and warmer with snow mixed with, dare I say it, rain? Highs 35-40. Northern and central Wisconsin could see several inches of snow as more of the precipitation may land as snow the further north you live. Stay tuned!
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, windy and colder with flurries. Highs 20-25.
Wednesday: Partly sunny, breezy and cold again. Bah. Highs 11-16.
Other City Forecasts:
This Weekend in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota: Snow showers today and tonight, then partly cloudy. Highs near 20 today, upper 20s tomorrow, and mid- 30s on Sunday. Break out the shorts!
This Weekend in Evansville, Indiana: Flurries tonight, otherwise sunshine mixed with a few clouds, highs near 30 today but mid- to upper 40s this weekend.
This Weekend in League City and Pearland, Texas: Rain and breezy today, mostly cloudy this weekend, highs upper 40s today but near 70 again by Sunday! Yeah, that's making me a bit jealous.
This Weekend in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina: Scattered rain showers tomorrow, otherwise sunshine, highs upper 40s today and in the 50s this weekend.
This Weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada: Partly sunny, rain developing tomorrow night and Sunday, highs low to mid- 50s.
