Today’s Thought: Poor Bryce had to stay home from daycare yesterday with a lot of chest congestion leading to a bad cough and some wheezing. The people at daycare said that croup is going around there, so they thought Bryce might be coming down with it, but Bryce hasn't had a fever yet so for now it sounds like it's just a chest cold.

Snow Advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to 6 am CST Thursday...
... First accumulating snow expected across southern Wisconsin...
... Snow Advisory now in effect from 6 PM this evening to 6 am CST
The Snow Advisory is now in effect from 6 PM this evening to 6 am
A mix of rain and snow will develop this afternoon turning to all
snow this evening. Two to three inches of snow is expected.
This is the first appreciable snow accumulation for southern
Wisconsin and it comes during the busiest travel season around
the Thanksgiving Holiday. Accumulating snow is also expected to
the south in Illinois. Those planning travel are urged to keep up
with the forecast.
A Snow Advisory means that periods of snow will cause travel
difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited
visibilities... and use caution while driving.
Now: At 7am with clouds and a solid band of rain showers in north-central Illinois, temps are in the low to mid- 30s.
Synopsis: Moisture behind a cold front stretching across central Illinois and southern Michigan could make travel a little difficult across southern Wisconsin tonight. As the area of low pressure associated with this front strengthens and starts to move to the northeast, colder temperatures and scattered rain showers will develop this afternoon, changing to snow tonight with 2-3" possible in south-central and southeastern Wisconsin. And since we're heading down there tomorrow, we'll be able to have a White Thanksgiving.
Today: Cloudy and breezy. Scattered rain showers may develop this afternoon in southern Wisconsin, changing to snow this evening with 1" of accumulation possible. Northern and central Wisconsin may see some drizzle or flurries but that will probably be about it. High of 37. Chance of precip 60% south, 30% north and central.
Tonight: Cloudy and breezy with snow showers south. 1-2" of accumulation is possible south-central and southeast. Lows near 20 north, mid- 20s central and south. Chance of snow 60% south, 40% north and central.
Thanksgiving: Maybe some morning snow showers south, otherwise becoming partly sunny. 2-3" of total snow accumulation by tomorrow morning south-central and southeast with probably just a dusting north and central. Highs lower 30s north, low to mid- 30s central, and mid- to upper 30s south.
Black Friday: Mostly cloudy, highs 34-39.
Saturday: Cloudy, maybe some flurries, highs 36-41.
Sunday: Partly sunny and breezy. Highs 38-43.
Other City Forecasts:
This Weekend in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota: Flurries today, otherwise partly cloudy, highs in the 30s.
This Weekend in Evansville, Indiana: Storms today, colder with flurries tomorrow, then partly cloudy after that. Highs mid- 60s today, then only in the 40s through Sunday.
This Weekend in League City and Pearland, Texas: Scattered showers and thunderstorms through the weekend, although tomorrow may be dry. Highs upper 70s today, then only in the 50s through Sunday.
This Weekend in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina: Showers tomorrow and again Saturday night and Sunday. Highs mid- 70s today and tomorrow, then lower 60s Friday through Sunday.
This Weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada: Sunshine, cooler, highs upper 50s to lower 60s.
... Record high minimum temperature in Las Vegas...
The low temperature at McCarran International Airport today was 57
degrees. This temperature broke the previous record high minimum
temperature of 54 degrees which was set in 1946.
