Sunny and warmer!
We’ve got a couple days of mild summer weather ahead of us with lots of sunshine and highs probably breaking the 80-degree mark! An area of high pressure currently centered in the New England area is blocking an approaching low pressure system (currently in the Plains states) from moving into our area. This is why I expect sunshine through tomorrow, and that southerly wind ahead of the low will bring in mild air for most of the weekend. Eventually that low pressure system will start moving along again, so I suspect at some point on Sunday we’ll see some scattered storms developing, followed by a small cool-down late Sunday and into Monday. Next week looks mostly dry with temperatures remaining above normal for yet another week.
