Wisconsin Weather Update for April 30, 2012.

By: HaleStorm , 12:39 PM GMT on April 30, 2012

Cloudy and cool today, then warmer but wet.

The rain that moved through overnight has pushed east of Lake Michigan, but expect the clouds to linger around as they stretch all the way back to the eastern Dakotas this morning. The clouds will make it feel cool outside, but temperaturewise it’s not going to be THAT cool with highs expected to be similar to yesterday, near or just slightly below average (avg=low 60s).

The westerly upper-air flow that has kept us cool with occasional weak weather systems over the last few weeks is going to shift to a more southwesterly flow. This means warmer air is on the way, along with the chance of thunderstorms instead of just rain showers starting late Tuesday and continuing through the rest of the week. Highs should make it into the 70s starting tomorrow, and we may even see a few 80s break out by Wednesday! Awesome!
