Wisconsin Weather Update

Wisconsin Weather Update for November 28, 2012.

By: HaleStorm, 1:39 PM GMT on November 28, 2012

Slowly getting warmer. No snow in the forecast.
I wanted to say “still no snow,” but we had some brief measurable snow a few days ago. A weak cold front moved through last night, although the clouds and snow stayed to our north. Temperatures will stay slightly below normal today, similar to yesterday, although we should gradually start getting warmer through the weekend with highs above 50 expected by Sunday. Look out for possible freezing drizzle Thursday night and Friday morning.

Wisconsin Weather Update for November 16, 2012.

By: HaleStorm, 1:30 PM GMT on November 16, 2012

Remaining dry and slightly warmer than average.
A large area of high pressure should keep us dry through the weekend, then it looks like the next low pressure system to move through next week will remain in Canada, keeping most-if-not-all precipitation north of the border. Temperatures should remain a few degrees above our normal high (normal is lower 40s east-central, mid- 40s south).

Wisconsin Weather Update for November 9, 2012.

By: HaleStorm, 2:29 PM GMT on November 09, 2012

Clouds today, thundershowers tonight. Clouds tomorrow, thundershowers tomorrow night. Pattern breaks with just lots of rain Sunday. Did I mention it will be mild?
My bolded title got a little long-winded there, but there’s a lot going on this weekend. A low pressure system is going to slowly move through the upper Midwest this weekend, bringing scattered thundershowers and warm, mild air in front of it, then cold air behind the front starting late on Sunday. Many of us may break 60 degrees Saturday, but will struggle to even hit 40 on Monday. Look out for heavy rainfall on Sunday, which could even briefly turn into a mix of light rain/snow before ending late.

Today’s Forecast Grade: B

Today’s Winds: Light this morning, becoming a little breezy from the southeast this afternoon.

Raw Model Data: (combined numerical output range from three different NOAA weather models)

http://www.nws.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/mos/getall.pl?sta =KATW&sta=KMSN&sta=KMKE

This Evening: Cloudy and windy with rain showers or even a thunderstorm developing. Temps in the low to mid- 40s. Chance of rain 50%.

Tomorrow’s Conditions: Cloudy and warmer with scattered showers ending in the morning, then redeveloping again tomorrow night. Chance of rain during the day 25%.
Tomorrow’s Temps: Mild highs in the upper 50s east-central, in the 60s south. Lows near 50.
Tomorrow’s Winds: Windy from the south.

Sunday: Cloudy and breezy with rain likely. Heavy rainfall is possible at times. Rain could briefly change over to a rain/snow mix before ending Sunday evening, but I doubt we’ll see anything fluffy and measurable. Highs near 60 early but dropping during the day. Chance of rain 90%.

Next Week’s Outlook:
