Another grand start to the day, total calm, 13C will be in the 20's again today with a humidity factor will be warm by the afternoon, cools down overnight. Forecast remains steady, however a bit of moisture indicated for Thursday, then returning to these conditions. Easterly flow yesterday, what we have today from the same quadrant, season change before too long.

Both ferries on the run by 1:30PM yesterday, engine trouble on the ADVENTURE not related to the turbo-charger, took a few hours to make the change, about 24 hours. Engine Room crew did a grand job getting her up and going ASAP. Don't know how many folks were impacted by the change in available opportunities to come and go.

Emily has a few hours at the Tankhouse again this morning, they have been shipping and receiving crab on a regular basis this past week or so.

Dear Rob:

Try to imagine that it was cooler here in Hampton - and in Blacks for that matter - than it was in Grand Manan??? We were thinking we were on a tropical Isl. :) Again, stellar vacation for us weather wise - although I have to tell you, I love having a bit of fog for hiking. You can go longer and further. One day it was 26 when we got out of our car. We hiked to Eel Brook and the Seven Days work and we stayed there --- in the shade of the mighty cliffs. It was very intertaining to watch the herring jumping clean out of the water and the sea gulls? - they ate until they almost exploded.

Today we have a slight breeze here - thank God - because my gardens are in need of a MAJOR weeding job and it's going to take all afternoon and more. Daughter wouldn't know a weed from a vegetable. Oh well, at least the house in good order.

Have a wonderful day and enjoy this weather while we still have it.

Word. Chunks.

Mornin David, the weather continues to be grand, being on the water would be the place to be for sure, humidity gets to the almost uncomfortable level before a bit of cool down in the evening. This past few days the afternoon breeze has failed to materialize thus making the humidity more of a concern, but will struggle through the conditions.

Haven't heard any reports on the lobster wars, don't appear to be much activity at the moment with boats making infrequent visits to the Zone. Seems the price to mirror what you are getting, the demand must be there as Emily getting some hours shipping from the tankhouse, and every couple of days shipping crab.

Your suggestion the critters are vacating the warmer water has been a comment for many years, the temps had been on the rise around the island, however this past cycle the aquaculture sites were reporting more traditional temps at least back in the spring, cold.

Herring news still very spotty, in times past on a Sunday afternoon tour one would see lots of activity with the weirs being seined, not the case again this summer. The CONNORS Herring Carrier fleet not getting many hours from the wharf, the traditional weir fishery in Nova Scotia, is for the most part, non existent.

Have a good one.
