Forecast rain has arrived with a rain warning with Tstorms mixed in coming up the coast, supposed to clear early in the evening, SE draft. Sun in the forecast for remainder of the week with cloud cover a possibility. Temp expected to be in high teens.

Fishery news remains the same, lobster catch has slacked to some degree due to the full tides, however catch remains a positive subject of conversation.

Boat traffic remains strong, smolt still a large part of the tractor trailer traffic, starting to notice more than the odd 'stranger from away' travelling the roads.

Hello, Rob! I have noticed your posts for a while, and we are encouraged to head to your island for a visit. Hope to arrive on the late afternoon ferry from Black's Harbor on Friday. Guess I should expect a bit of chilly weather for the weekend? Will there be a farmer's market on Saturday morning? Can't wait - been trying to get this trip scheduled for quite a few years now. We'll be two of those "strangers from away", although our away is just next door. *smile* Cheers! Wilma

Mornin CHUNKS, if you get what just went through here this morning your quagmire will be a lake, heavy rain for a couple of hours, now calm and fog. Temp not moving much, certainly not a problem with the heat, looking good for the weekend, more lawn mowing.

When you are Southern Head looking out, Seal Island is the lighthouse off the Cutler Towers. Seal Island is within the disputed Zone, Also, if not the only manned light station on the east coast one of the very few, again it is a sovereignty thing to have Canadian Lightkeepers there all the time, two keepers, they are there a month on and a month off. Your history lesson for today now complete.

No visits to the Garden Centre yesterday, time didn't permit, however have an idea when we go to the NCC Grad next week there will be some time allocated for such a visit. Grad 3PM, will be staying for later tip a few hours to fill in, even with a chance to spring for a celebratory meal.

Stay dry.
